What is Fe Y Alegria
It is a movement/charity started in 1955 and founded by Roman Catholic Father Jose Maria Vélaz, who was born in Rancagua, Chile. It's focus is to provide education and social development for impoverished and excluded parts of the world. It has grown to 17 countries in Latin America and since its inception has reached 1.4 million students.
Our little school in El Cruce De Arroyo Hondo is only one small part of the Fe Y Alegria program.
